Wieczorem, w sobotę 15 marca ogłoszono werdykt 22 Alternatywnych Spotkań Teatralnych Klamra. Głosami widzów nagrodę główną przyznano poznańskiej grupie Usta Usta Republika za spektakl „Uczta”. O trofeum toruńskiego festiwalu rywalizowało 12 przedstawień, najlepszych scen alternatywnych w kraju.

Spektakl „Uczta” to kolejne wcielenie znanego z eksperymentowania, poznańskiego teatru. Usta Usta pokazały jak zawsze teatr interaktywny, wciągający widza do udziału w spektaklu. Tytułowa „uczta” przygotowana jest w groteskowej konwencji, a głównym daniem jest… człowiek w całej swojej fizyczności i duchowości.„W sposób zaskakująco prosty przedstawiona została tragiczna prawda o wartości nas samych. Można odnieść wrażenie, że w spektaklu śmiech miał być tym, czym u Witkacego – zmuszeniem do refleksji, zwróceniem uwagi na problemy istotne” – pisała recenzentka festiwalowej gazety.

Aktorzy podczas spotkania z widzami festiwalu także podkreślali, że chociaż sztuka ma pozory komediowości, tak naprawdę jest wielką przenośnią o naszym bycie:

„Wszyscy jesteśmy konsumentami, ale najczęściej konsumujemy siebie nawzajem. Pożeramy to życie, ale w efekcie okazuje się, że to my zostaliśmy pożarci”.

Dodawali, że jedzenie to filozofia, a metafory kulinarne odnoszą się do całego naszego bytu: „Mamy apetyt i na pierogi i na emocje. Jesteśmy głodni kontaktu z drugim człowiekiem. Nasz spektakl ma smak, ale bardzo gorzki. Przeprowadzamy widza, przez bardzo trudne, ciężkostrawne przemyślenia”.

Z otrzymaniem nagrody głównej wiąże się zaproszenie zwycięskiego teatru na przyszłoroczną edycję festiwalu. Nagrodę festiwalową, tradycyjnie przyznawaną przez publiczność, wprowadzono podczas 15. edycji AST Klamra. Pierwszym jej zdobywcą był Teatr Wierszalin. Warto dodać, że teatr Usta Usta Republika wygrał już raz Klamrę. W 2011 roku podczas 19 edycji festiwalu publiczność nagrodziła spektakl „777″.

„The Feast” has won Klamra Festival

The verdict of the 22nd Alternative Theatre Meetings Klamra was announced on Saturday’s evening, March 15th. By the votes of the audience, the main award went to Usta Usta Republika from Poznań for Uczta. Altogether, 12 performances of the best alternative stages in the country competed for the trophy of the Toruń festival. The Feast is yet another incarnation of the Poznań theatre, which is renown for its continuing experimentation. As usual, Usta Usta appeared with interactive theatre, which engaged the viewer to participate in the performance. The title “feast” is delivered in a grotesque convention, while the main dish is… the human being, in all their corporeality and spirituality. “In an astonishingly straightforward fashion, the play shows the tragic truth about our own value. One can have the impression that in this performance laughter had the same function as in Witkacy’s work – to induce reflection, draw attention to the important issues” – a reviewer wrote in the festival’s news-sheet.During the meeting with the festival audience, the actors also emphasized that although the play had the appearances of a comedy, it was a great metaphor of our existence: “We are all consumers, but most often we consume one another. We devour this life, yet it ultimately turns out that it is we who have been devoured”. They added that eating is a philosophy, while culinary metaphors apply to our entire existence: “Our appetites include both food and feelings. We are hungry for contact with another human being. Our performance has a taste, but it is a very bitter one. We guide the viewer through very difficult, almost indigestible reflections.” Having received the main prize, the winning theatre is invited to the next year’s edition of the festival. The festival award, traditionally conferred by the audience, was introduced at the 15th AST Klamra. The first winner was Theatre Wierszalin. It should also be noted that Usta Usta Republika had already won one award. During the 19th edition in 2011, the audience of the festival rewarded the performance entitled 777.
